GUARDIA CIVIL officers have arrested 27 people in Alicante, Elche, Orihuela, Rojales and Torrevieja, of Dutch, Colombian and Spanish nationalities, who are charged with crimes against public health, illicit possession of weapons and belonging to a criminal organisation.
As part of Operation Skunk 1,122 marijuana plants, 14 kilos of marijuana, 1.5 kilos of hashish, more than 250cc of cannabis oil for electronic cigarettes and cannabis “gummies” were seized.
A raid, carried out by the Civil Guard of Torrevieja, began after detecting the rapid proliferation of cannabis clubs in the locality.
Allegedly the Dutch nationals had organised what appeared to be a legitimate business and rented two industrial warehouses and made a heavy investment in air filters, air conditioners and lighting.
The company claimed to be dedicated to the organic cultivation of industrial hemp and even had a research and development division that created new products.

What a complete waste of time, and a criminal waste of marijuana! I would have thought the police have more important work to do.
