WATCH: Car crashes into petrol station in Alicante

CCTV footage captured in Alicante shows the dramatic moment a car crashes into a petrol station.

In the video a Guardia Civil patrol car is seen refuelling, when a speeding car veers off the motorway, barely missing the people stood by the car before clipping a pillar.

At first glance it appears that the driver was speeding and lost control, but a closer look reveals an approaching grey car begins to make an illegal turn into the petrol station, forcing the red car to take evasive action.

Fortunately no one was harmed, but it is a sobering reminder of the dangers of driving irresponsibly and ignoring the rules.
