National Police rescue woman who lay undiscovered in ditch for 24-hours

NOT every piece of news involving the police or Guardia Civil is about crime or negative activity.

Officers of the National Police were proud to be able to report that they discovered and managed to rescue an 84-year-old woman in Vigo who had fallen into a ditch nearly 24 hours earlier.

After bringing the lady out of the ditch, she was immediately given medical treatment.

A happy ending to what could have been a tragedy.
