Grilled cheese row turns into attempted murder

AN ARGUMENT over a grilled cheese sandwich ended with a man facing attempted murder charges after shooting at his wife.

Reports say that Daniel Brian Blackwell was infuriated when his wife took a bite of his grilled cheese sandwich and shot at her through the basement floor of their US home.

She fled the house with three teenagers into the arms of waiting police officers.

Her husband is not legally permitted to own guns because of prior convictions for assault Baltimore Police said.

After a three hour stand-off, Blackwell left the house and was arrested by police.

A total of 15 guns were found in the house, some of which were loaded, as well as ammunition and gun accessories.

Blackwell has been charged with attempted murder, offences of assault and a number of firearms violations.
