Ford Mustang: Wild horses

Mustang Black Shadow edition.

FORD unveiled two special edition Mustangs aimed at the European market at their recent ‘Go Further’ event in Cologne.

The Mustang Black Shadow will be available to order from January 2017 with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, plus a 5.0 litre V8 engine beneath the bonnet.

Key differences from the standard model include black body detailing, 19-inch alloy wheels and a redesigned pony emblem.

The car will be available in Platinum White, Triple Yellow, Race Red and Grabber Blue.

The Mustang Blue Edition evokes the spirit of the classic Mustangs from the twentieth century, with its head-turning Grabber Blue paintwork, black racing stripes, and 19-inch black alloy wheels.

It is available with either the same 5.0 litre V8 as the Black Shadow, or a 2.3 litre four-cylinder Ecoboost unit, and is already on the market.

Both special models come equipped with an upgraded Sync3 multimedia system with premium audio plus heated and cooled front seats and a black leather interior.
