Spanish Foreign Minister visits the European Parliament

THE new Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Alfonso Dastis travelled to Strasbourg to introduce himself and to meet with president of the European Parliament Martin Schulz and other officials.

During the meeting, the minister reaffirmed the value and importance of the European Parliament in the process of European integration and confirmed the continued commitment of Spain in European integration. The minister also touched upon a number of the significant challenges facing the European continent including the fight against terrorism, economic growth and immigration.
