OFFICERS from the National Police and Customs Surveillance of the Tax Authority swooped on a house in La Linea de la Concepcion and discovered three tons of hashish which filled the house as well as three stolen vehicles and have arrested a 40-year-old-man who was at the house guarding the haul.
The investigating team came across a large speed boat unloading parcels into three different SUVs which left the area at high speed and were chased by the National Police assisted by a customs helicopter which followed them to a house in El Zabal where they were seen to be unloading the vehicles.
Once the property had been identified, the officers applied for a search warrant and when they entered the house they found the hashish as well as the stolen vehicles in the surrounding area which are valued at 50,000.
The arrested man has been detained in custody and the investigation remains open whilst the joint operation attempts to identify his partners.
