The €24,000 will allow the charity to not only help those suffering from the condition and the families but the professionals who provide the day to day health and social care throughout Spain.

Thanks to projects such as ‘Well Being’ and the work of the Butterfly Children Charity families can live with the condition knowing they are not alone and that their rights are being heard. It is important to remember that Butterfly Skin is a rare disease with no cure and is characterised by extremely fragile skin that breaks with the slightest touch. Activities of daily living such as walking and eating can cause blisters and open wounds that may take months to heal.

In addition to the help from organisations like Obra Social “La Caixa” the Butterfly Children Charity is funded by its charity shops such as the one where the signing took place at Calle Caballeros 9, Marbella Old Town.
