Scene of the bus in Brussels.
UNDERSTANDABLY there was a huge police response when news came in that a woman had attacked people with a machete on a bus in the Uccle suburb of Brussels on the afternoon of August 22 as it was feared that this was another terrorist attack.
At least three people were wounded with the machete, two seriously, and the attacker was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds, according to reports in the Belgian press.
It is now thought however that the woman was actually suffering from a mental disorder and there was no element of terrorism in the attack.
