AN ENGLISH woman lost her life while crossing the street just a few days after arriving in Mallorca for a holiday.

A 69-year-old woman, who is not identified in Spanish reports, but referred to as ‘67-year-old Patricia Anne Crosby’ in The Daily Mail and The Sun, is reported to have been crossing the road which connects the northeastern town of Pollenca to the nearby Port of Pollenca, when she was struck by a passing car.

Her husband, who has not been named, escaped without injury, with the couple thought to have been returning to their accommodation close to Cala San Vicente following an evening out.

The incident occurred sometime between 11.30pm and 11.45pm on Saturday, May 21, and when paramedics arrived at the scene the victim had already passed away.
