Beachgoer killed on Carihuela beach

AN unidentified man died on Carihuela Beach on Thursday May 5, with initial reports suggesting that he drowned while swimming.

A surfer spotted that he was in trouble and pulled him out of the water, but emergency services were unable to resuscitate him on arriving at the scene.

In a separate incident at the same beach, a father managed to save his two sons after they were dragged away from the shore by strong currents caused by the unpredictable weather, with both said to be in good health.
