New car sales race ahead

DATA relating to new car sales in Spain show that the number of new vehicles registered in April this year was a huge 20 per cent higher than in 2015. This increase confirms the rising trend over the last two years of the popularity of purchasing new cars in Spain. It is expected that the figures for the whole of April for the total number of new cars sold will reach just under 100,000. Just under half of the purchases were sold to individual buyers whereas the other half were sold to rental companies and businesses, which are sectors that have both seen huge growths of between 20 per cent and 40 per cent in comparison to April 2015.

In fact, with a 6.9 per cent increase in sales when compared to last year, the quarterly registration total of 285,000 show that the Spanish economy recovery is certainly strong and doesn’t show signs of slowing down. In fact, the GDP is still growing annually at a rate of 3.4 per cent and this is having a knock-on effect with the car buying public.
