SPAIN’S biggest stars were shining bright on Saturday April 23 as the Room Mate Valeria Hotel ushered in hordes of celebrities in order to celebrate its lavish opening party. Savvily timed to coincide with the Malaga Film Festival, currently taking place, the swanky fiesta allowed the creme-de-la-creme of Spanish cinema to make a pit stop between the hubbub and hoopla of the assorted premieres and screenings taking place this week.

Cameras lit up the night as such noted thespians as Paz Vega, Natalia de Molina, Alberto Amman, Sara Vega, and Javier Banderas hobknobbed and posed for the paparazzi as the celebs gleefully whiled away a balmy spring evening in the Costa del Sol’s biggest city.

Attendees were not limited to the world of cinema, with polticians and various socialites popping up to take in the sights and sounds, as well as the mayor of Malaga himself, Francisco de la Torre Prados.

The energy and excitement of the festivities ensured that the party went on well into Sunday mroning (April 24) as the garrulous guests chatted, dined, and got their groove on to the wild electronic stylings of DJ Alex del Toro.

Room Mate Valeria opened its doors last month, joining its sister establishments the Room Mate Larios and the Room Mate Lola to be the third member of the family in Malaga City. The succesful chain was founded by noted equestrian, actor, and businessman Enrique (Kike) Sarasola.

The Malaga Film Festival kicked off on April 22 and will go on until May 1.
