Photographer’s year of images

A POPULAR local British photographer is sharing his photos in a year-round format.

Tony Unwin, famous locally for his wonderful photos of Vera Playa and surrounding areas, is in the third year of producing his exclusive calendar.

This year, he has added a twist to the colourful calendar by inviting local businesses to sponsor each month.

Unwin told Euro Weekly News the businesses were “delighted to come on board” and the only problem was choosing which month to sponsor.

A photographer for more than 40 years, Unwin has lived in Spain with his wife Lynne for six and was inspired to make the calendar by the rich colours and diversity of the region.

Unwin’s work has been on display at official venues in Vera and he has won prizes in local municipal photography competitions.

The first two editions of the calendar proved popular outside Almeria with examples being shipped as far afield as Australia, Zanzibar and Cuba.
