Hells Bells – Brian Johnson from AC/DC has been told to turn down the volume

THE ‘AUSTRALIAN’ rocker who originates from Gateshead has been advised by doctors to stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss. The band has now postponed the remaining dates of their US tour because of the lead-singer’s condition. 

The 68-year-old ‘Back in Black’ singer, famous for his ‘high voltage’ performances has cancelled the remaining shows beginning on Thursday March 10 in Atlanta until April 4 in New York and they have been rescheduled for later in the year, probably with a guest vocalist.

The band is due to play in Sevilla in the Estadio Olimpico de la Cartuja on May 10 but a statement is yet to be made on this forthcoming show. 

The news is the latest in a series of setbacks for the band.

Phil Rudd, the former drummer was convicted last year of making threats to kill and drug possession. He served eight months in home detention.

It was revealed in 2014 that Malcolm Young, founding member and guitarist would not be joining the band on tours as he was suffering from dementia.

The band’s latest album, ‘Rock or Bust’ was released in November 2014 and has been touring ever since.
