Full steam ahead for Soller train

THE Soller train and tram service started up again on February 1 after a two-month renovation.

The service which connects Palma to Soller and the Port of Soller had been suspended for the last two months due to maintenance and improvement work on the stations and tracks.  Around 600 metres of rail and tram track has been renovated.  

Work also included carpentry maintenance and a complete electrical and electronic overhaul of all of the existing wiring. The company also completely renovated the traction, braking, wiring, controlling, driving and management systems.
