Presentation of e-NV200 vans to city of Marbella.

ON FEBRUARY 9, the director of Project Zero Emissions Nissan Iberia, Javier Redondo, and the manager of Nissan Concesol, Jose Antonio Martin, presented two electric vehicles to the city of Marbella saying that “it is essential to anticipate environmental problems and public health promotion policies with zero-emission vehicles.”

In accepting the donation, Mayor Jose Bernal said that “sustainability is a priority for the City Council in this line and we have started working on a plan with a view to a greener and sustainable future.”

It is intended that one of the e-NV200 vans, produced exclusively in Spain, will be operated by the Parks and Gardens department of Marbella whilst the other will be used by the deputy mayor’s office in San Pedro Alcantara.

According to figures released, this type of van shows a 40 per cent saving in maintenance costs and up to four times in the cost of fuel, plus of course they are also much more friendly to the environment.
