Mijas police fear legionella outbreak

DURING the last few days of January, a story began to emerge concerning worries that officers employed in Mijas by the Local Police had with regards to a possible outbreak of legionella in the police station.

What is not disputed is the fact the showers in the station have been closed, although the council insists it had been discovered that there was some indication of slight contamination in the hot water system, so the shower room was closed to allow for necessary remedial work to be undertaken.

Some officers apparently believed that insufficient information had been given to them.
