AS love is in the air and hoping to place money in the tills, the Cartama council has launched its third annual ‘Cartama Enamora’, which encourages romantic residents to enjoy Valentine’s Day, whilst spending money in the town and possibly winning some very good prizes.

Fifty different businesses in the town have agreed to join in the promotion, so from February 8 to 14 anyone purchasing something in one of the participating shops will be entered in a raffle, with prizes ranging from a €20 voucher to a 40-inch TV and even a trip for two.

The same option exists for couples eating in the participating hospitality establishments between February 12 and 14, where there will be special Valentine’s Day menus, food tastings, cocktails and special tapas.
