THIRTEEN members of one family have been arrested in Spain for using fraudulent identities to escape existing charges for drug trafficking and robberies, and to illegally claim benefits.
The arrests, made on January 20, were a result of a National Police investigation in Murcia, Valencia and Malaga, which began in May 2015 after officers became aware of a married couple using multiple IDs with different names and other demographic details.
A police inquiry into their circumstances revealed that they were responsible for eight children, six of whom also possessed documentation to support two identities. Two female children were found not to be the couple´s own.
Those adults arrested face charges for the offences of forgery, fraud and perjury.
