El Corte Ingles competitor for Amazon

THE Spanish department store El Corte Ingles has launched a new online rapid delivery operation in order to try to combat Amazon, which is seeing a steady rise in its business within Spain.  The new service from El Corte Ingles offers two-hour delivery on a series of items in six of the largest Spanish cities, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Málaga, Sevilla and Bilbao, although the goal is to gradually expand to other cities, with categories including, computers, and cosmetics.
