ACCORDING to a brief announcement from New Scotland Yard, officers from the Metropolitan Police Service Counter Terrorism Command [SO15] arrested a 31-year-old man on Tuesday, December 22, under the Terrorism Act (TACT), on suspicion of being involved in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts linked to extremist Islamist terrorism.
The man was detained by officers at a business address in south London at 5.03pm and was taken to a central London police station where he remains in custody at this time. Officers are in the process of searching a residential address in south London whilst enquiries continue.
