La Linea hospital nearing completion

LA LINEA’S new hospital is almost a reality, regional Health department head Aquilino Alonso has declared, although as of yet no opening date has been given.

Alonso explained that all work down to the Junta de Andalucia regional government would be complete by the end of this year and said he had discussed the matter with local Mayor Juan Franco, who has confirmed that the money for the council’s part of the work is there but administrative matters still need tying up.

Therefore, Alonso said, he could not give an exact day but confirmed his department was ready to apply for the opening licence as soon as the work is done.
