Almeria supports its women entrepreneurs

THE Mayor of Huercal-Overa, Domingo Fernandez, took part in an event with local women to mark Women’s Entrepreneurship Day. 

The event was organised by Almeria’s Business Women’s Association (ALMUR) and the mayor was accompanied by the Councillor for Business, Maribel Sanchez, and the Councillor for Equality, Belen Martinez. 

The mayor encouraged women who attended the event, at which they were given advice on how to be more creative, and to continue working for their businesses.

 He said that they should strive to make their ideas reality, and called them ‘proof that hard work and sacrifice lead to success.’

 He pointed out that the town has a number of entrepreneurs who have received support from the town hall with grants, tax benefits and elimination of opening taxes, which, he said, made it the ideal place to invest.
