JUST before a concert in Stockholm on Saturday, where the singer paid tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks with a cover of the Edith Piaf classic, La Vie en Rose, Madonna vowed to continue her World tour which includes dates in Barcelona and Paris.
“Why should I cancel? There is no one in the world who has the right to stop us from doing what we love,” the star said.
The Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona will welcome the singer on Tuesday and Wednesday and she is going to France to play her scheduled shows in Paris on December 9 and 10.
The Spanish shows are set to feature a bullfighting theme which has prompted some activists to speak out against the star.
“If Madonna wants to ingratiate herself to audiences she might consider choreography that reflects something less offensive than imitating a bloody spectacle,” Mimi Bekhechi, director of Peta UK, told Spanish media.
