Civil Solidarity guards give 200 kilos of food for Motril children

THE charity group “Guardia Civil Solidarity” has given the department of ​​social services in Motril around 200 kilos of baby food to be distributed to needy families in the city.

José Luis Gomez, the area spokesman for the organisation said, “The food comes from a campaign launched recently that has allowed us to stockpile milk, baby food, infant cereals and snacks bars amongst other foods for redistribution in the area.”

The Social services department who are responsible for making sure that food reaches the neediest families said, this is the second campaign of its kind held in the Costa de Granada by this organisation, which so far this year has redistributed 13,000 kilos of food in the province.

In addition, the continuing campaign that helps Nepal has raised €7,000 to date, and was made by selling items such as handmade bracelets and shirts. This will be delivered in the coming days to those affected by the earthquake of Nepal.
