PALMA City Hall and Mallorca Council are formulating a plan to allow for rapid action to clean graffiti from protected buildings and other elements.
Councillor Neus Truyol reported that several years ago the Council’s Committee for Heritage had given the order not to clean off graffiti which appears in sites classified as Assets of Cultural Interest or Catalogued. In fact, the only cleaning job authorised was on the Baluard del Princep ramparts which are frequently targeted by vandals.
