MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS: Tends to appear in young adults, more often in females
THE Health department at the Hospital General Universitario in Elche diagnoses between six and seven new cases of MS each year.
This was announced at the 9th technical conference organised by the Multiple Sclerosis Association of Elche and Crevillant (AEMEC).
Approximately 180 patients are at risk of or suffer from multiple sclerosis and professionals provide patients with an early diagnosis study. Multiple sclerosis is an inflammatory and degenerative disease of the central nervous system (CNS).
It tends to appear in young adults, more often in females, aged between 20 and 40 years old. Many suffer from progressive disability after a course of outbreaks, usually after the second decade suffering with the illness.
