Sheltered housing provided to La Nucia resident

LA NUCIA’S program of sheltered housing operated by the department of social welfare continues to do good work with the provision of another apartment for one of the town’s needy residents who had completed the application and met with the criteria.

The program, in operation since 2006, offers a pioneering level of care for he elderly. In total, La Nucia have 36 specially adapted accommodations available for the elderly, each with floor space of 40 square metres and equipped with living-dining room, bathroom, kitchen and a small balcony.

The properties are rented for pensioners or retirees on low income who live alone or are married. Located next to the social centre they enjoy splendid views over the town and bay of Altea.
