New roundabout by Mojacar beach

WORK has started to build a new roundabout on Mojacar seafront in the area known as Vista de Los Angeles.

The project, part of work planned under Almeria Provincial Council’s Road Plan in collaboration with Mojacar Town Hall, has a budget of €150,000. The construction will be done by Copsa company, which has been given two months to complete the work.

The roundabout will have a 25 metre diameter and is intended to improve traffic conditions on the main street by Mojacar beach, especially in the summer months when the area becomes inundated with extra vehicles. Work will also include renewing and organising local services in the area including the bus-stop, gardens and pedestrian areas.
