European Commission delegation visits Gibraltar

ACCORDING to a Gibraltar Government spokesman, perhaps prompted by news in the Spanish media, a European Union delegation is visiting Gibraltar on October 27 to review the efforts made by all parties to ease the congestion at the border.

It is reported that the delegation, which is expected to consist of five officials, will meet with representatives of Spain in the morning and then enter Gibraltar together with the Spanish representative of the Commission in Spain to see the situation for themselves, and then they will formally report their findings to the Commission.
