A MAN, 42, was arrested in Palma for allegedly forcing his partner, 38, to commit robberies and work as a prostitute so he could get money for drugs.

In June, the woman entered a shop and asked the cashier for €50. When she refused, she told him there was a man waiting for her outside and that if he came in there “would be trouble.” She then fought with the cashier and managed to get away with €350 from the till. The victim had to be treated for several injuries.

She was also arrested, although she claimed he threatened her if she refused to do what he said. Both have extensive criminal records.
