FOLLOWING the end of the busy tourist season, Marbella Council has announced the start of renovation works on Puerto Banus’s Plaza Antonio Banderas.
The renovation project, Works Councillor Blanca Fernandez explained, will improve the 20-year-old square and give it a new look while conserving its essence in an aim to encourage its use as a leisure area and meeting point.
The more than €400,000 project has been awarded to Proyectos e Infraestructuras Zambrara and is expected to take four months to complete, with jobs on the list including replacing more than 11,000 square metres of paving, fixing and extending pergolas, waterproofing flowerbeds and adding led lighting.
