A FOREST fire broke out yesterday (Wednesday, September 30) at 3.57pm in the area of Cerro de la Cabeza del Caballo (Nerja).
Two helicopters, a plane, two lorries and three specialised teams of Infoca Forest Fire Prevention team attended the area and were able to extinguish the fire by 5.45pm.
Due to the strong rains and storms registered in the area during the fire, experts believe that a lightning bolt could have started it.
