Nerja will host refugees and fight for lgbt rights

THE Nerja Council has approved during a plenary session to add the town to the list of those who will be soon welcoming Syrian refugees.

In the same plenary session, the governing team, led by EVA-Podemos independent party, Izquierda Unida IU-Ca and PSOE socialist party have also approved the creation of an agreement between the council and the LGBT rights association, Arco Iris Federation, to create a plan against homophobia and transphobia, with the votes against it coming from the conservative parties, PP and Ciudadanos.
