A MAN found guilty of stealing firewood from private homes in Alhaurin el Grande has had his appeal turned down by a Malaga Provincial Court.
The sentence, for one year and 11 months in jail, was confirmed by the appeals court, which found no reason to change the original judge’s decision.
The man was caught in January after climbing into one property to steal a sack of firewood and trying to do the same at a neighbouring property, where he was spotted, and the fact that he had a previous record for similar offences was taken into account by the criminal court which sentenced him for attempted theft on private property.
