CHILDREN in Motril will now have the chance to learn everything about the town’s most important environment issues and sites.
The town’s Environment Department has launched an environment education programme in which all schools of the town are expected to participate. Deputy Mayor Antonio Escamez announced that, thanks to this initiative, the school children will be able to get to know the different natural spaces of Motril, its diversity and the ecologic trace that each human leaves in the planet.
“We hope that this programme, which is based on classroom explanation and outdoor activities, will be useful for the education community to integrate environment knowledge on the children’s syllabus,” said Mr Escamez.
Children will also go on excursions to natural monuments such as the Suarez wetlands, with explained routes to the new botanic garden facilities.
