AS MALAGA Province waits to see how many Syrian refugees will be coming to the area, the authorities are busy preparing to receive them and drawing up plans.
One of these plans is a resource guide being drawn up in collaboration with the Education, Health and Social Policies departments which aims to record what is available where to help meet the needs of future arrivals, which will include charities, individuals, local and government services.
Junta de Andalucia regional government delegate for the province Jose Luis Ruiz Espejo explained that the Junta aims, through this guide, to record all available resources and place them at the disposal of those attending refugees.
“Organisation and advance preparations are vital in this type of situation that removes thousands from their homes,” Ruiz Espejo said.
