THE regional government has presented a new guide for professionals dealing with gender violence victims which for the first time recommends that women take an active part in their assistance.
Personalised plans, the guide stresses, should be adapted to meet victims’ specific needs and those of their children and take characteristics including emotional state, support network and level of dependence into account.
