NEW rooms, painting works and gardening are some of the improvements carried out across Zurgena schools to welcome children back after the summer.

The town council explained in a statement the most important works were carried out in the nursery school Chicos, where children between 0 and three years old will be able to enjoy a brand new classroom, with new furniture and toys.

“For us, it is very important that children feel at home at their school, so that their first contact with education is as enriching as possible,” said Lola Garcia, Education Councillor.

At the La Alfoqua public school, the town council has carried out comprehensive improvement works in the hallways and toilets. Cleaning and disinfecting the drinking water cistern has been performed at the public school Juan Andres Toledo.

“We are satisfied with the results, although we know that we still have a lot of work to do to continue improving the services and appearance of our schools,” finished the councillor.
