NEW equipment is to considerably improve the attention provided to children born with heart defects at Malaga’s Materno Infantil children’s hospital.
The new equipment at the Haemodynamics Unit will allow an estimated 250 studies per year and avoid 70 per cent of patients having to have surgery, the hospital has reported.
Children will also receive less radiation and will no longer have to be taken to Carlos Haya hospital for complicated tests.
