A SEVILLA man has helped the police catch a driver who was found to be three times over the permitted limit for alcohol.
The driver saw another car jump a red traffic light in heavy traffic and decided to follow and stop him to give him a piece of his mind. After stopping, he realised the other man was drunk and called the police, forcing the suspect to stay where he was and wait. Once officers arrived they breathalysed him and also found his driving licence had run out two years beforehand.
Sevilla’s Citizens’ Safety Council Juan Carlos Cabrera praised the responsible attitude of the witness and said: “this type of attitude should be an example for others, by dedicating a few minutes of his time this person probably avoided an accident occurring.”
