Hotting up at Taj Mahal this summer

TAJ MAHAL: Established for over 10 years.

OPEN for over a decade, the Taj Mahal in the Benimar Commercial Centre, Benijofar, is still as popular as ever with customers returning time and time again as they continue to praise its food and service.

“The food is enjoyable and tasty; friendly staff and prices are very reasonable” was one comment, as another customer agreed: “Excellent food and service, really nice atmosphere, will recommend the Taj Mahal to all our friends.”

These are just two of the thousands of satisfied customers who have visited the decadent and spacious restaurant which was one of the first Indian restaurants to be established in the area.

With its gloriously high ceilings and views over towards the fields, it is lavishly decorated with tailored curtains, traditional Indian garments, paintings and murals. There is also a large outside terrace, perfect for al fresco dining now the long summer nights are here and it is the perfect spot to watch the sun set over the mountains.

Whilst it is a pleasure to dine out in the surroundings of the Taj Mahal, food is of course at its heart. All curries are freshly made with authentic spices from India and no food colourings.

Any dish can be prepared to a customer’s preference, whether they want it mild, medium or hot. Tandoori dishes, cooked in a loam oven and served on a hot sizzler are a speciality but there is something for everyone from salads and samosas to biryani and baltis.

Platters and set menus are also available for two, four or six people. There is also a menu available for younger diners from €4.50.

Taj Mahal is open every lunch time from 12-4pm and this is the perfect time to sample their cuisine at highly affordable prices with their three-course menu del dia costing €8.95 including a drink.

A full takeaway service is available and with every order over €20 you receive a free bottle of wine.
