IN the first seven months of the year, 6,526, 218 foreign tourists visited the Balearic Islands, 3.9 per cent more than over the same period in 2014.
This makes the Balearic Islands the region with the third highest number of tourists in Spain, beaten only by Cataluña and the Canary Islands according to the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism. The number of tourists from the UK, France, Holland and Belgium increased, while the number of German tourists fell.
