LA VUELTA, the biggest cycling race of the year in Spain, which tours the country and started in Puerto Banus on Saturday (August 22), caused havoc on Monday as it passed through Mijas and traffic in the busy area ground to a halt.
After heading up the hill to Mijas, the route passed through Alhaurin el Grande, Cartama and Campanillas before heading eastwards to the Axarquia area, where it is passing Benamargosa, Velez-Malaga, Torre del Mar, Benajarafe, Rincon de la Victoria and La Cala del Moral before ending in Malaga city.
