Estepona’s new wheels for cleaner streets

ESTEPONA has decided to ensure its Old Town centre is spotless for the remainder of the tourist season by buying a new cleaning vehicle specially designed for the narrow streets.

With a capacity for 1,000 litres of water, the new vehicle will allow streets to be sprayed with chemical products to remove muck and rinsed with pine-scented detergents, making the popular area both look and smell better, the council announced.

“Due to the increase in population in the summer we decided to increase human and material resources to take care of our historical centre and ensure everything looks great,” Services councillor Blas Ruzafa explained.
