INTERNATIONAL horsewoman star Emma Tytherleigh has returned to Spain to perform in summer shows – having relocated herself and team to Turkey, where she has been involved in shooting a movie.
“We relocated to Turkey in April for the show ‘Lord of the Horses’ in Istanbul,” Emma said.
While in Turkey Emma was busy training riding horses, Liberty and Trick, with stunt double Liviu Bococi, along with six Spanish horses to groom and train for an up coming movie, The Mountains and the Stones.
“We were in Cappadocia for six weeks shooting the movie, starring Josh Hartnett and Michiel Huisman, under the renowned stunt co-ordinator Jordi Casares,” said Emma, now back in Torrevieja.
Emma, who travelled from Istanbul to Barcelona to perform in ‘Miron Bococi’s Free Style Horse Show’ with their fantastic Mad Max-themed trick riding show in Fira de Sant Juame this year, said: “I am back in Torrevieja – for just over a month – to prepare for my new show ‘Fiesta Horse’.
“Fiesta Horse is a show made of pure beauty and passion. And a relationship, between horse and man, like you have never seen before.”
Emma is performing at Casa La Pedrera, the house made famous on TV’s Grand Designs, in Torremendo, on August 11, 18 and 25; at the Purple Cow Livery Stables in Catral, on August 14, 22, and 29; and at Los Establos, Novelda, on August 16.
“This year is particularly exciting for me – as I have new riders in my team,” said Emma.
“Antonio Piqueras – ‘El Patas’ – a Spanish Vaquera rider, is ready to show off his powerful young horse, in the art of traditional Spanish riding.
“Liviu Bococi will be a surprise guest in some of our bigger shows – showing off his dangerous trick riding skills.
“And Brooke Saxon, a student of mine, will be performing alongside me in my trick riding number.”
After starring in Spain Emma is heading back to Turkey, to continue training horses. “In September Liviu and myself are returning to Turkey, to continue the training of the speciality-act horses,” she said.
And Emma exclusively revealed: “In November my horse Romero and I are moving to the UK for 10 months – to trick ride for a well-known circus – with one of the world’s finest trick riders.”
Details of Emma starring in the circus in England are under wraps – with further details being announced later in the year.
Emma, formerly based in Catral, also said she was planning to live in Madrid in the future. “The goal, in the far distant future, is to make myself more central – and relocate myself permanently in Madrid.
“I would like to recreate my show on a slightly larger scale in the Madrid area,” said Emma.
“Eventually I hope to buy my own small-scale Finca and stables – and use it as a base to train my own and clients’ horses, along with students, in all-different disciplines; dressage, trick riding, liberty and more.”
She added: “I would like to create a classy, large-scale show, in a ‘big top,’ based on the relationship between horse and man.
“The show would consist of acrobats and dancers, as well as beautiful horses and incredible riders, and take it on tour – right across Europe!”
