NATIONAL POLICE are investigating the discovery of a dismembered body in Alicante. Believed to be of a man in his 40’s, the body was discovered by a group of young people bathing in the Lagunas de Rabasa who said they had spotted the bags since before the San Juan fiestas, but had never bothered to inspect them previously until now. They opened one bag and saw an arm and torso and upon realising the gruesome discovery they had found, the group immediately called the police without opening the second bag. Emergency services quickly arrived and assisted in bringing the second bag out of the water as the area was sealed off.
