Elche children's guided tour around Anthem of the Seas

YOUNGSTERS from the Elche Children’s Home Children were invited by Royal Caribbean Cruises to visit the Anthem of the Seas which was docked in Cartagena for the day.
The children had a great day out; were given a magnificent tour of the ship, had lunch, rides on the bumper cars and the ‘North Star’ capsule, and even saw a robot dance show.
The crew gave up their spare time to accompany the children and make the day extra-special. They also held a raffle raising over €2,000 which they presented to fundraiser Annette English for the charity at the end of the day.
The children made ‘thank you’ cards which they gave to the staff and Annette presented them with a certificate from the charity.
In addition, Royal Caribbean donated furniture from the ship to the children’s home. Steve Howell & Son Removals kindly offered to collect the furniture free of charge, and arrived at the docks at 11am to load it furniture. Unfortunately, they were held up by customs and Steve and his four members of staff were kept at the dockside until 8pm before they were finally permitted to leave. The ship provided them with food and refreshments during their visit and the charity would like to say a very big thank you to Steve and his staff for their patience and kindness: “We were overwhelmed by the generosity of everybody involved in making the day so magical for the children; this will truly be a day they will never forget.”
