COMPLAINTS raised by residents of the Paraiso del Sol complex in the Añoreta district (Rincon de la Victoria) about noisy padel courts in the area have been heard.
A court in Malaga has cancelled the licence to operate the courts, granted by the previous government led by the PP conservative party, having decided that they do not comply with current regulations.
The official report was issued by a group of neighbours, members of the pressure group Salud y Medio Ambiente in Paraiso del Sol, after denouncing the constant disturbance caused by the courts, which were both noisy and used extraordinarily bright floodlights.
The decision was expected to be appealed by the company in charge of the facilities, Pinos Padel SL.
Head of the association, Jose Maria Ramirez, expressed his satisfaction after having campaigned on the issue for the past three years.
